Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki was later named the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki was the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012 as the press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. In the year 2000, Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. Her appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House, on May 30 in 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to White House in 2015 to serve as communications director. She remained with the Obama administration until its conclusion.
