Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actor. Her most well-known work is her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as a speech and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
