Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71, is a South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually wrong and politcally biased story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the worst mistake on my 10 years of watching." In 2019, she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company. 4] She joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming platform run by Fox News, in January 2020. She said that she was "dumped” by the network in March 2022. Logan worked as a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989) which was followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992, she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior production producer. After four years, she started freelance journalism. Reporter/editor/producer assignments for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all handed to her. She worked for CNN and reported on events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania as well as the ongoing conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
